Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. ~ Margaret D. Nadald

Our Father also gifted us with the nature to nurture, keen sensitivity to the Spirit, selflessness, discernment, and heroic faith. No wonder our Father placed us at the heart of the family and thus at the center of the plan of salvation. We are the Lord's secret weapon. ~ Sheri Dew

A break from politics

I know I'm not the only one who hears the phrase "what about socialization?" when it comes to homeschooling. Here's a little laugh from "Thou Shalt Laugh 2." (The show features clean comedy, which is a nice twist!)

Very funny -- love that being concerned about socialization is the reason he homeschools. Thanks for visiting my blog -- my first three were born in 3 years and 8 days, then two year and two months later we had twins, so I've always been an oddball. Nice to know there's some other oddballs out there like me. =)

Somehow i skipped your comment before. A while ago i looked at your blog through the armstrong's site and really enjoy reading about what you think-and thinking about all the debating i will love to do with you when i'm not so tired. i will keep checking in-and love the joke by the way. ever since i read reviving ophelia in college, i've inwardly chuckled when people talk about socializing their children. by the way, i might label a post i'm working on "a playgroup even cherie would want to come to" maybe?? :)
